Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Supply Chain Quality Specialist to join our cabin procurement department - this role will be based out of Newport Beach, CA. An important role within our supply chain quality team, supporting niche issues at various suppliers.

The Procurement team&39;s mission is to acquire indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, playing a major role in generating value and giving to the overall competitiveness of the company. Our team members ensure on-time delivery and on-quality of equipment and systems, drawing on their expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and positive relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain issues.

Located in beautiful Southern California is our satellite office in Newport Beach, CA. This office supports our west coast procurement operations. Being just 10 miles from the beach provides a great opportunity to have your lunch al fresco and enjoy the California sunshine.

• A Bachelor&39;s Degree in aerospace or industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Ensuring timely delivery of flawless parts from various program suppliers
• Forming relationships with those suppliers and partnering with them
• Analysis of the supply chain operation; assessing capacity and capability for ramp-up times; monitor risks; avoid failures
• Cultivate Teamwork inside and out

• 7-10 years of experience in the aerospace; automotive or related industries in industrial planning, supply chain management, quality management, and continuous improvement required
• Ten (10) years of validated experience in aerospace and manufacturing would be highly preferred
• Knowledge and expertise in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), structured problem solving, Risk Management, and Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) desirable
• Experience leading industrial capacity audits and quality assessments
• You enjoy using strong communication skills to partner with others and find a solution
• While logistics may be a larger focus in this role, you still need to have experience with quality manufacturing, being able to identify issues from start to finish
• Six Sigma certifications (among other certifications) are preferred, too
