The Supply Chain Value Stream Leader will be responsible for managing and optimising the flow of materials and information to ensure customer needs are met. They will lead the Materials and Logistics teams to success by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, delivering end-to-end supply chain resilience, and ensuring accountability at the right levels. Lead by example, meeting EHS requirements and actively promoting continuous improvement in EHS activities throughout the team and the site
Responsible for ensuring end-to-end delivery flow across the shop from accurate receipt and dispatch through to accumulation and presentation that meets customers TAT requirements
Provide leadership to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including customs compliance, company policies & procedures, and GE Behaviours
Develop personal capabilities around FLIGHT DECK to improve SQDC through leading and providing coaching support to team
Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve processes which maximise cost reduction and productivity opportunities throughout the operation
Implement standard work and operating rhythms to ensure that the business performance and service from, and to, customers is optimum. Build, develop and coach the team in support of such goals
Closely monitor supplier performance to plan and work with suppliers to enhance and drive improvement of supplier on time delivery metrics
Utilize data analytics and digital tools to drive insights, improve decision-making, and enhance supply chain efficiency
Create a level of local stability within materials stream by improving material ordering standards and supply chain resiliency
Build knowledge of external material processes and develop strong relationships within the GE Supply Chain network, leverage best practice
Identify potential risks, escalate where required and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful implementation of supply chain transformation initiatives
Desired:This role requires significant experience in Material Fulfilment and Supply Chain Management
Experience in leading, managing and coaching colleagues to standards and through change projects.
Strong knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in Logistics best practice, material ordering and ERP systems
Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices would be beneficial
