Overview
We are seeking a Supply Technician (01410) to support Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS-16) under the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (3D MAW). This role directly supports MV-22 Osprey squadron maintenance operations by ensuring effective material control, inventory accuracy, and supply chain execution in support of aviation readiness.
The Supply Technician plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency across organizational (O-Level) and intermediate (I-Level) maintenance environments, working closely with maintenance, logistics, and data systems teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical supply management functions including inventory management, storage, cataloging, and property utilization
- Support material control operations for aircraft, engines, and support equipment (SE)
- Process and track supply transactions in OOMA/NALCOMIS and other applicable systems
- Maintain accurate records for logs, reports, and supply documentation
- Assist in forecasting, requisitioning, and tracking material requirements to support maintenance operations
- Ensure compliance with NAMP, Technical Directives (TDs), and applicable supply procedures
- Coordinate with maintenance and production control to ensure timely availability of parts and materials
- Support Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) requirements
- Participate in programs such as:
- Hazardous Material Control and Management (HMC&M)
- Tool Control Program
- FOD Prevention Program
- METCAL and calibration tracking support
- Analyze supply discrepancies and recommend corrective actions based on established guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in:
- Aviation supply operations
- OOMA/NALCOMIS systems
- Supply chain and material management (military aviation preferred)
- Working knowledge of:
- Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)
- Supply systems, policies, and procedures
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, policies, and supply documentation
- Strong analytical skills to identify supply issues and implement solutions
- Understanding of aviation maintenance support requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting MV-22 Osprey (MV-22B) operations
- Prior experience within MALS or Marine Corps aviation logistics environments
- Familiarity with DoD aviation maintenance and logistics systems
