Task Description: Supply Technician (01410)
This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work requires consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
Assignments require:
(a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
Skills and Knowledge:
The Contractor must have knowledge of the USAF Enterprise Solution Supply (ESS) and/or Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) with a minimum of three (3) years experience.
Technician experience should include one or more of the following areas:
stock control, MICAP, warehouse and/or supply requisition.
- Must be knowledgeable of technical directives, Air Force aviation maintenance programs, and shall be knowledgeable of and understand supply procedures.
- Supply Technician shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy, and ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
- Possess a high degree of expertise in the control and coordination of logistical support.
- Thorough working knowledge of applicable maintenance/supply/technical manuals and publications.
- Working understanding of the Air Force supply system.
Task Requirements:
- Conducts inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization.
- Requisitions, receives, stores, and issues replacement parts, supplies and equipment.
- Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
- Unpacks, inspects and stores new equipment.
- Reports damaged or worn-out equipment and supplies to supervisors.
- Perform other tasks as directed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six years’ experience as an Aviation Supply Technician.
- Familiarity and ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Fork Lift operator.
Basic Qualifications:
- Three years’ recent experience as Supply Technician.
- Familiarity with Hazardous Material Handling and general shop procedures.
- Familiarity and ability to use commercial and military technical manuals.
- Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift schedule if required.
- Must be able work flexible work-week schedules i.e. M-F or as required.
- Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI).
- Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms.
- Must be able to use hand and power tools.
- Must have dexterity to handle small parts.
Compensation
$36.16/hour
Other Compensation
Employees receive a minimum health and welfare benefit of $7.00 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
