Responsibilities

• Perform conventional machining operations to repair aircraft engine components using manual lathe, jig bores, milling, grinding and EDM.

• Perform machining dimensional fits & clearance checks per technical manuals.

• Perform various bench repair works such as blending, inserts & broken stud replacement.

• Interpret machining dimensions & understand the requirements from technical blueprints.

• Inspect work using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.

• Assist line supervisor in their daily operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals, and discipline.

• Participate in EH&S, Quality, Ethics and Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.

• Perform various other duties as assigned by Workshop Engineer/Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE ’O’ Level, NITEC or equivalent.

• Possess National Trade Certificate in Machining (NTC Certificate is mandatory).

• Prior experience in handling conventional machining for horizontal lathe, milling and grinding is required.

• Min 2 years of relevant conventional machining in manual lathe, jig bores, milling and grinding.

• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP).

• Possess high level of integrity and accountability with a strong drive towards Quality.

• Willing to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude towards change management.

• Relevant aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience is a plus.
