Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day tool control, calibration tracking, and procurement coordination to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Issue, track, and inspect tools for technicians during each shift, ensuring full accountability at shift handoff
Monitor recalibration schedules; coordinate tool servicing with on-base calibration labs as needed
Maintain accurate tool inventory, initiate redistribution, and support plans for obsolete tool removal
Analyze manufacturing requirements and gather product data to recommend solutions for tooling needs
Investigate and respond to changes in manufacturing requirements and emergent tool service requests
Coordinate with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards
Analyze procurement options for tool services, parts, and support, identifying cost-effective solutions
Collaborate with suppliers and support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes
Support supplier performance evaluations and verify compliance with contracts and procedures
Participate in managing overhead and capital budgets related to tooling and inventory acquisition
Provide guidance and feedback to suppliers and fellow analysts on tooling best practices and improvements
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required
Experience: 3+ years in tooling, tool inventory management, or manufacturing support
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with issuing, inspecting, and tracking tools in a manufacturing or maintenance environment
Familiarity with tool calibration procedures and documentation
