Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tool Crib Attendant to independently manage the tool management program, tool room, calibrated equipment, and associated test equipment in an aviation environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient issuance, inspection, and maintenance of tools and equipment in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inventory of tool room assets and conduct regular inspections on tools, toolboxes, and equipment for condition and serviceability.
- Issue parts, tools, and equipment from inventory and maintain a tool control program for accountability.
- Track and maintain all tools and equipment, including calibration and inspection dates, using maintenance database and/or Fixed Asset System (FAS) software.
- Identify equipment needing repair or replacement and make minor adjustments, lubrications, and repairs.
- Replace broken tools and ensure equipment is functional and ready for use.
- Maintain records of tool inventories, broken tool logs, and calibrated tool historical records for FAA inspectors.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Receive, inspect, and confirm the quality and quantity of ordered supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Report faulty operations, defective material, and unusual situations to department supervisor.
- Advise department management of issues, delays, and schedule interruptions.
- Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and orderly at all times.
- Stay informed of tool control technology advances and apply appropriate technology to improve logistic processes.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, and networking.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in tool, material, or logistics management, preferably in an aviation environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP) and MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of aviation tools, calibrated equipment, and regulatory standards such as AS9110 and DCMA.
- Ability to adhere to company policies, safety manuals, and Repair Station Manuals (RSM).
- Understanding of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of computer literacy with an intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of various tool control programs and International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) and export rules.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- High School diploma or equivalent with five years of relevant aviation logistics experience or equivalent U.S. Military training.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of CRESTVIEW, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.58/hr.
