Tooling Coordinator I (Full Time)

Position Summary:
Provides organizational and administrative support to the tooling department as well as cross-functional
teams as needed. Contacts suppliers to resolve issues such as invoicing, not receiving product, and cost
differences. Generates, prints, and creates tooling work orders in LN and EAM. Generates, maintains,
and receives in purchase orders. Uses IntelAgree software to submit forms to new suppliers such as:
NDA’s, new supplier information form, ACH form and provide information to sourcing and accounting
teams. Interfaces with Piper Aircraft suppliers and uphold Piper Aircraft’s values. Maintains a strong
understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling systems, and ability to work effectively with
cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective production.
Essential Job Functions
Generate, print, assign, and create EAM ticket for department work orders as requested by
method’s engineering and tooling organization.
Maintain assets in EAM including creation of PM schedules.
File tooling scrap forms, remove tool numbers within LN and EAM.
Notifies manufacturing engineering and production planning when tool is completed.
Close and file completed work orders into record retention system.
Maintain tool locations by keying locations into LN database.
Perform administrative tasks in areas such as requesting quotes, ordering, and maintaining shop
supplies.
Send required paperwork via IntelAgree or email for new supplier forms.
Prepares, tracks, and maintain purchase orders and/or CEAs as required.
Receives in purchase orders and ties invoices to each one.
Contacts suppliers with issues such as invoicing, not receiving product, and cost differences.
Answers accounting questions on purchase orders.
Reviews B.I. report to see what tools can be capitalized monthly.
Provides accounting with monthly accruals.
Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality.
Assist with delivering tools to the production floor and assign location.
Assists with reviewing and research past due work orders and follows up with proper personnel
to close out work orders.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in related field preferred; or minimum high school or general education
degree (GED) with one to three years related experience required or equivalent education and
experience, in lieu of degree.
Related Tooling Coordinator Experience Requirements:
o Tooling Coordinator I: ≤ 1 year of supply chain experience in a general aviation,
aerospace or manufacturing environment
o Tooling Coordinator II: 3 – 5 years of supply chain experience in general aviation,
aerospace or manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands
Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate job specific equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Other physical requirements include the ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, twist, balance and reach above, out, and below.
Mental Demands
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, IntelAgree, LN, EAM, AS9100, ITAR, and lean manufacturing.
Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks.
Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions need to be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
Strong team leadership, organizational and motivational skills, problem solving skills, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of tooling and basic shop practices.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to both office and plant environments. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.
Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community members and regulatory agency representatives.
Overtime is required when necessary.
