Silver Airways is hiring Cross Utilized Agents (CUA) at our location in PalmBeach International (PBI). Silver provides more routes within Florida and to the Bahamas than any other airline. As a CUA, you are the face of Silver and provide a positive impression and travel experience to our customers by delivering top-notch service. As a CUA, you will perform all the functions of a customer service agent and a ramp agent; you may be assigned to work either area on any given day.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Check in customers and luggage, sell tickets, make reservations, assist with flight boarding at the departure gate, and meet arriving flights
- Assist customers with claims for delayed or damaged baggage, respond and resolve customer inquiries, and reconcile ticket sales
- Close out cash drawers and provide general customer assistance with a smile
Ramp Agent:
- Marshal aircraft into parking positions
- Unload baggage and deliver it to baggage claim area, load luggage onto departing flights
- Assist special needs passengers, load and unload carry-on bags, clean aircraft cabins, service aircraft lavatories, connect/disconnect external power generators to the aircraft, board catering supplies, perform security functions, prepare aircraft weight and balance paperwork
- Coordinate with pilots, airline dispatch office, and the customer service department
- Conduct other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to work any shift; including early/late days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency with MS Suite and adept on a computer and with different applications
- Ability to process transactions and possess basic math skills
- Must be extremely flexible; willing and able to prioritize Silver work schedule
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Must have professional appearance, be detail-oriented, and have an excellent customer service disposition
- Excellent attendance and punctuality required
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience
- Must be at be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License Required
Physical Requirements
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly
- Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and reach repeatedly
- Working Conditions: Silver Airways flies in all weather conditions and Cross Utilized Station Agents are required to work during freezing cold and extremely warm temperatures.in the elements
