Aerotek is hiring an Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on various support equipment.
• Repair and modify equipment as needed, including minor welding tasks.
• Document completed work orders in the CMMS system.
• Use computer systems to manage inventory levels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, combustion engines, motors, electrical systems, and electronics.
• Replace faulty sensors.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience with heavy equipment or vehicle maintenance.
• 4 years of experience in hydraulics, motor repair, and electronic component maintenance.
• Experience in preventative maintenance, electrical work, welding, and schematic reading.
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues and electronics.
• Experience with combustion engines and diesel.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting various equipment systems.
• Experience with motors, belts, and bearings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with forklifts, fleet vehicles, or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience with small gas engines is a strong plus.
• ASE certification will provide a premium.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled vehicle equipment maintenance shop located near the airport. The most needed shift is the second shift: Tuesday to Friday from 1:30 pm to 12:00 am, with 10-hour days. Safety gear such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves will be provided. The dress code requires clothes suitable for getting dirty, without any vulgar or obscene imagery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

The pay range for this position is $27.78 - $48.04/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Memphis,TN.
