Job Title: GSE Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced GSE Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) such as baggage carts and deicing equipment. This role requires strong experiences in mechanical testing, troubleshooting, and diesel engine experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform light and heavy repairs on GSE equipment.
- Diagnose and repair engine mechanical issues (Diesel, gas, and LP).
- Troubleshoot A/C and D/C electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Possess knowledge of Generators 400 Hz as well as 28 volt.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret hydraulic flow schematics.
- Utilize computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management Systems.
- Repair 80 and 48 volt DC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair Airstart systems.
- Participate in ongoing training to gain knowledge of the equipment.
- Maintain the required level of productivity.
- Accurately complete vehicle repair orders in a timely manner.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical testing and troubleshooting.
- Diesel experience, including a mix of automotive and diesel.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Own a rolling toolbox with basic tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous GSE experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines (3-5 years preferred).
- Valid drivers license.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Vocational training certificate or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to attain an Airport-issued ID badge.

Work Environment
Work in a covered hangar environment, heated in the winter and cooled by large fans in the summer. Join a team of 7 mechanics per shift, with an off-site location for larger projects such as full vehicle overhauls. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.50 - $33.50/hr.
