Job Title: Ground Support Equipment Mechanic
Job Description

As a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that airlines, freight carriers, and airports are ready to exceed expectations by maintaining and repairing essential ground support equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures on aircraft ground support equipment.
- Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or company-owned equipment.
- Diagnose engine mechanical issues and repair (Diesel, Gas, and LP).
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic start systems using necessary schematics.
- Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot Powertrain Management Systems.
- Complete vehicle repair orders and other documentation accurately to maintain quality standards.
- Communicate safety concerns and customer requests for service to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in engine diagnostics and repair (Diesel, Gas, and LP).
- Knowledge of troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic software for Powertrain Management Systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and service repairs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, technical certification/diploma preferred.
- ASE certification preferred.
- Valid drivers license and compliance with DOT policies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport-issued ID badge per the airport contract.
- Basic tool set required; power tools will be provided.

Work Environment
Work on the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Overtime is possible but not guaranteed. This is a contract-to-hire position, with the potential for permanent employment based on performance and attitude.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
