The Engineering Summer Intern will support ongoing projects and contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of engineering solutions within Raytheon. This role provides hands-on experience in real-world engineering applications, allowing the intern to apply academic knowledge, gain professional skills, and collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

• Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of engineering components, systems, or processes.
• Support the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and drawings.
• Collect and analyze data to support process improvements or project development.
• Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
• Help identify and troubleshoot technical issues under supervision.
• Contribute to maintaining project timelines and ensuring quality standards are met.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Chemical, or related field).
• This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior standing level by the start of Summer 2026.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA).
• Experience with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or R).
• Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in an engineering environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
