Air-O Specialists of Texas, Inc is currently seeking full-time A&P Lead Mechanic to join the crew at the McKinney, Texas (McKinney National Airport, KTKI) company location. Candidates must meet our high standard of excellence for safety, resource management skills, and customer relations. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.

The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

• Perform general aviation service tasks on a wide range of aircraft makes and models
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
• Utilize maintenance manuals and technical documents to identify repair procedures
• Repair airframe components and systems
• Repair power plant components and systems
• Examine replacement aircraft parts for defects
• Replace defective parts using approved tooling
• Test aircraft parts using proper diagnostic equipment
• Inspect work for compliance with FAA and performance standards
• Interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunction and performance problems
• Assemble aircraft components, perform required measurement and testing

Compensation:
 
This position is a Full-Time position, 40 hours per week. Overtime and bonus for weekend work will be provided.

• Must have A&P License
• Knowledge of fixed wing aircraft maintenance and service
• Knowledge of turbocraft maintenance is a plus (no required)
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Working Conditions:
 
Work for this position is performed in an unconditioned environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Requirements:

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to bend, twist, and practice safe lifting methods. Appropriate mechanical lifting aids are provided. Specific vision abilities are required, including close, distance, and color vision, as well as ability to adjust focus.
