Job Description
The Inspector verifies that work performed on aviation articles complies with manufacturer data and customer specifications. They perform a variety of inspections, including incoming, primary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections. The role involves reviewing maintenance records, documentation, and logbooks to ensure all necessary repairs, inspections, operational checks, and documentation have been completed according to current approved technical data. Inspectors are authorized to approve work performed for return to service and will execute tasks as assigned under 14 CFR Part 65, always adhering to company safety requirements. The position involves inspections on 737s and 737 Max aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Verify compliance of work performed on aviation articles with manufacturer and customer data.
- Conduct incoming, primary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections.
- Review maintenance records, documentation, and logbooks for completeness and accuracy.
- Authorize approval of work performed for return to service.
- Perform tasks as assigned under 14 CFR Part 65.
- Ensure adherence to company safety requirements during all tasks.
- Conduct inspections specifically on 737s and 737 Max aircraft.

Work Environment
The work environment is in a modern hangar, built within the last 10 years, located at Rockford International Airport. It includes two 10-story hangar bays encompassing 238,000 square feet, primarily servicing commercial aircraft. The facility is very clean, though it can get cold from September to May due to the hangar doors opening and closing. Current open positions are on the day shift, operating on a Donut Schedule with two options: Wednesday-Saturday (6:00 AM-4:30 PM) and Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday (6:00 AM-4:30 PM).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $66000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
