Job Description:

We invite you to become an instrumental part of our team. We are seeking a full-time team-oriented individual at our Plattsburgh, NY location. We currently operate DHC-6-300 Twin Otter aircraft hauling cargo to various locations.

FAA CERTIFIED AIRFRAME & POWERPLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS to maintain and perform Maintenance on, DHC-6-300 Aircraft in accordance with Grand Canyon Airlines policies and procedures (Continuous Aircraft Maintenance Program (CAMP) and Approved Aircraft Inspection Program (AAIP), manufacturer’s manuals and FAA requirements. Training will be provided. DHC-6-300 Twin Otter and PT6A-27 experience a plus!

  • Location maintains three to four cargo aircraft. May be able to work flexible shifts and some weekends depending on maintenance needs. 
  • Must be able to travel to Boulder City, NV for up to three weeks for training.

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Split shift, flexible enough to work outside the standard schedule at times which may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs and often lift above the head.
  • Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing ladders, aircraft and support stands, and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (high visibility clothing, hearing protection, safety glasses) when required.
  • Professional who is able to work as a team member or independently.
  • Must have the ability to use calibrated hand and specialized tools.
  • Must be able to read and understand English in order to properly use aircraft manuals.
  • Possess quality decision-making capability and mental alertness to ensure safety.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug screen

Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities desired but NOT necessary:

  • Engine rigging and troubleshooting. PT6A-27, -34, -114A
  • Fixed Wing experience Preferred

Necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Must be able to track ADs and SBs (to remain compliant with FARs)
  • Must be able to perform engine build-ups (QECs)
  • Must be able to perform Hot Section Inspections, replacements
  • Must be able to perform Power Section changes
  • Must be able to perform engine rigging and troubleshooting.
Salary Range: 65,000-75,000
