Basic Aero is now seeking the "RIGHT PERSON" for this position as an IA or A&P technician. This could be a Management level position to supervise and lead assigned crew.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and lead assigned crew 
  • Perform all work duties in compliance with FAA regulations, technical data, and customer policies
  • Ensure time spent is tracked on every work order
  • Ensure time on work order is logged correctly and within assigned budget
  • Review non-preplanned documents to identify methods of repair and/or replacement while identifying necessary parts, material and tooling requirements
  • Provide estimates for all maintenance on non-preplanned documents within a timely manner and within scope of responsibility
  • Read and interpret accepted and approved data from service bulletins, manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, SRM's and various other specifications to determine feasibility and trouble shooting methods to inspect and repair parts for wear, or other defects or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components on aircraft and powerplants
  • Develop/Provide on-the-job training and coaching with assigned crew
  • Ensure that training is documented in employee training records
  • Eliminate unproductive time by ensuring work assignments are in place for crew members prior to start time
  • Review turn-over report and aircraft flow chart prior to beginning shift to determine work assignments for crew
  • Ensure that on-coming crew can complete assigned tasks by reviewing tool and material requirements
  • Maintain communications within area of responsibility
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation within crew

Job Requirements:
  • Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Inspection Authorization (For IA role)
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Light aircraft general maintenance
  • Familiar with logbook research and airworthy directives (AD)
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing as well as a 10 year background check
  • Must be available for on call response (increased pay rate)
  • People-oriented with a positive and cooperative attitude
  • Highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic
