The A&P Mechanic performs inspection, repair, and troubleshooting tasks within a FAA Part 135 Repair Station, working under the direction of the Lead Mechanic or Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all work meets regulatory and company standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with FAA Part 135 procedures on aircraft including the Dash-8.
- Execute scheduled, unscheduled, and troubleshooting tasks; conduct preflight, postflight, and periodic inspections to confirm airworthiness.
- Remove, repair, and install components including engines, landing gear, flight controls, hydraulic systems, and basic avionics.
- Complete assigned work within established labor hour budgets and time constraints.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities in compliance with FAA requirements, RSQM/AS9100, DCMA 8210-1D, and applicable manufacturer publications.
- Adhere to all safety practices, tool-control guidelines, FOD prevention procedures, and equipment inspection requirements.
- Review approved maintenance data and system operation descriptions prior to troubleshooting or corrective action.
- Coordinate with pilots, engineers, and maintenance personnel to support operational and dispatch needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are serviceable and calibrated prior to use.
- Perform additional duties as assigned; occasional travel may be required.
Pay & Schedule
- Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
- Split per diem available for eligible employees.
- 4x10's Schedule with Day or Night shift available
- Contract-to-hire position.
