As an A&P Mechanic II, you will independently perform routine maintenance and inspections on aircraft. You will ensure all tasks comply with aviation regulations and will assist in more complex repairs under guidance.

Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance independently.
Conduct thorough inspections and document findings.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Collaborate with senior mechanics on complex repairs.
Ensure all work adheres to FAA and company standards.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities.
Promote a safe working environment.
Hours of operations are working 72 hour work week (6 days)
Qualifications You Must Have:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of relevant experience.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
Basic understanding of applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
Qualification We Prefer:
Associates degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field.
Specific experience with certain aircraft models.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems accurately.
Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in noisy environments, such as industrial sites or construction areas.
Ability to detect auditory signals from machinery or equipment, which may indicate issues.
Ability to navigate various work environments, including climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and working at heights.
Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for frequent travel to customer locations.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including repairs, installations, and maintenance.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
Strong awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety guidelines in potentially hazardous environments.
Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
