As an A&P Mechanic V, you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will be responsible for overseeing subordinate staff in repairs, replacement and maintenance of the key components of aircrafts. Youll supervise the necessary checks in regards to the mechanical and functional components of the aircraft, including the testing of and replacement of defective or faulty parts. Youll use a variety of tools and equipment to perform diagnosis on parts to be replaced, and ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards of work, all while maintaining safety and cleanliness of the hanger or workshop. You will demonstrate expert knowledge in the main components of aviation maintenance including airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Power plant (A&P) components.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 15 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Proficiency in repairing, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications
- Pass and maintain physical requirements, in order to deploy.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience
- Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
- Ability to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide, and inspect the work of subordinates
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required
- Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations
- Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to OCONUS operating location.
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required
- Work 6 days M-Sat, 12 hours days - 1st shift
