PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced FAA Aviation Mechanic (A&P) to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. In this role, you will perform maintenance, repair, servicing, and cleaning of aircraft systems in accordance with FAA regulations. We’re looking for a skilled aviation technician with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, servicing, and cleaning of aircraft systems in compliance with FAA standards.
• Inspect and troubleshoot aircraft components and systems.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety requirements.
• Support aircraft operations as needed.

Required Experience

• 5–10 years of experience in general aviation maintenance.
• Prior avionics experience preferred.
• Familiarity with turboprop aircraft is a plus.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic License required.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication skills; proficiency in English required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely in confined spaces and perform physical tasks such as standing, kneeling, squatting, and lifting.

Travel Requirements

• Limited domestic and international travel may be required.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control regulations (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, manual dexterity, and working in confined spaces.
• Adequate hearing and vision to perform essential job functions.
