PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced FAA Aviation Mechanic (A&P) to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. In this role, you will perform maintenance, repair, servicing, and cleaning of aircraft systems in accordance with FAA regulations. We’re looking for a skilled aviation technician with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, servicing, and cleaning of aircraft systems in compliance with FAA standards.
- Inspect and troubleshoot aircraft components and systems.
- Document maintenance activities accurately and in accordance with regulations.
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety requirements.
- Support aircraft operations as needed.
Required Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in general aviation maintenance.
- Prior avionics experience preferred.
- Familiarity with turboprop aircraft is a plus.
Licensure & Certifications
- Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic License required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication skills; proficiency in English required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in confined spaces and perform physical tasks such as standing, kneeling, squatting, and lifting.
Travel Requirements
- Limited domestic and international travel may be required.

- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control regulations (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, manual dexterity, and working in confined spaces.
- Adequate hearing and vision to perform essential job functions.
