Job Title: A&P Mechanic
Job Description
Perform C checks and heavy maintenance on aircrafts for military and government customers.
Responsibilities
- Examine and inspect aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, and deicers to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems.
- Conduct routine and special inspections as required by regulations.
- Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards and that aircraft are ready for operation.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals and manufacturer publications and directives to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance.
- Modify aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications.
- Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
- Read and interpret pilots descriptions of problems to diagnose causes.
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand or power tools.
- Inventory and ordering supplies, parts, materials, and equipment.
- Check for corrosion, distortion, and cracks in the fuselage, wings, and tail.
Essential Skills
- A&P License
- 5 years of heavy maintenance or modification experience on aircraft
- Experience in a military or similar environment
- Must provide own tools
- Eligibility for a Secret clearance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in heavy maintenance, modification, and MRO or Depot environment
- Experience with C check, D check, installation, helicopter, and heavy checks

Work Environment
Work in a hangar environment within an MRO setting, handling heavy maintenance and modifications. Follow production schedules and complete work within designated time frames. The schedule is from Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
