Job Description
As an A&P Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, and corrosion control of aircraft components, airframe, and power plant. You will maintain appropriate aircraft records and logs, service, repair, and modify aircraft structures and structural components of basic difficulty. Using manufacturers manuals and operators handbooks, you will apply technical knowledge to solve pilot-reported discrepancies with moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair aircraft, engines, propellers, and components, including flight controls, fuel systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
- Utilize technical knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition and/or operation.
- Interpret technical documentation such as manufacturers manuals, blueprints, ICAs, MEL, and FAA regulations to return aircraft to an airworthy condition.
- Ensure all logbook entries are posted and correct before returning an aircraft to service.
- Inventory, maintain, and order aircraft parts, equipment, and supplies as directed.
- Perform aircraft ground handling, including towing, refueling/defueling, pre- and post-flight inspections, and servicing.
- Change tires, remove and replace components, and perform operational and functional checks.
- Participate in phase and special inspections, including SB’s and AD’s under direct supervision.
- Inspect and operate powered and non-powered ground support equipment, ensuring equipment is serviced according to manufacturer guidelines.
Essential Skills
- A&P License
- Experience with C-130 or 6-10 years of military experience
- Troubleshooting
- Line maintenance
- Experience with military aircraft (f15, f22, f18, f35)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
- Experience working on specific assigned aircraft
- Working knowledge of aircraft systems and engine maintenance
- Basic understanding of FAA standards 14 CFR Part 43, 91, 125, and 145
- Capability to operate life support equipment, non-aircraft radios, and sat-phones
- Ability to prepare clear and concise written documents

Work Environment
The operation is based in Crestview full-time starting in April 2025. The role requires international travel for extended periods, sometimes under austere and sub-standard living conditions. While traveling, you will work extended and irregular hours in various environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, high elevations, dusty conditions, and stressful situations. The position operates on a first shift, four 10-hour days with opportunities for overtime. All tools required for the role are provided.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crestview, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.92 - $33.08/hr.
