Job Description:

University Air Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our maintenance team. An Inspection Authorization (IA) is preferred but not required.

In this full-time, on-site role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and returning to service a variety of fixed-wing aircraft, including single-engine piston aircraft, turboprops, and multi-engine jets. Responsibilities include performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company safety standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Maintenance and fellow maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and airworthiness. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential to this role.

UAC maintains fuel operations for the entire airport along with specializing in aircraft maintenance, flight training, and full-service charter operations, including a diverse fleet of jets and piston aircraft. The company is a fully authorized Cirrus Warranty Repair Station, an authorized Cessna Service Station, and an FAA-approved Avionics Repair Station. UAC also operates an FAA-approved Part 141 Flight School, offering high-quality aviation training. Job Requirements:

Candidate should have the following Requirements:

A&P License
IA (Inspection Authorization) - a plus
At least 2 years of experience in the aviation maintenance
Williams Engine Training - a plus
Teamwork

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and alterations on company and customer aircraft.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics discrepancies.
  • Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Accurately document maintenance performed and ensure all records comply with FAA requirements.
  • Return aircraft to service when authorized and qualified.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance and maintenance team to prioritize work and meet operational schedules.
  • Adhere to all company policies, FAA regulations, and industry safety standards.
