Entry-Level A&P Mechanic – Flight Test Aircraft Maintenance

Position Overview
G&G Aero is a flight testing department at the Goodyear Airport that operates highly modified test aircraft to support industry and government flight test.
G&G Aero is seeking an Entry-Level A&P Mechanic to support maintenance, modification, and inspection of aircraft operating in a dynamic flight test environment. This position is ideal for a motivated mechanic looking to build experience supporting specialized airborne test operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations
- Troubleshoot and correct aircraft discrepancies
- Support inspections, repairs, and modifications on airframe, engines, landing gear, and aircraft systems
- Assist with flight test preparation and post-flight maintenance actions
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Support aircraft modifications and special mission equipment installations
- Work in a team environment supporting high-tempo operations
- Travel as required to support deployed operations
Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance required
- G-1159 (Gulfstream GIII) experience desired, but not required
- Ability to acquire and maintain Inspection Authorization (IA)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to provide own standard hand tools
- Specialized tools will be provided
- Ability to reliably commute to Goodyear, AZ or relocate prior to start
