Job Title: Aircraft Technician
Job Description
The Aircraft Technician at the GSO Service Center will work within an established FAR 145 Repair Station and is responsible for assigned maintenance tasks, inspections, functional and operational checks, and troubleshooting affected aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repair of airframe and power plant systems and components per acceptable methods, techniques, and practices.
- Document work performed in accordance with Regulatory and Repair Station/Quality Manual policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency with the methods, techniques, practices, tools, and equipment used during aircraft maintenance.
- Identify, protect, and preserve piece parts and articles undergoing maintenance in accordance with RSM/QCM and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure parts, products, and materials that are installed meet regulatory requirements.
- Perform assigned work in a safe, effective manner while practicing good housekeeping in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide detailed turnovers when maintenance is left unfinished prior to shift changes.
Essential Skills
- Qualified Aircraft Technicians (A&P Licensed) candidates will have at least 1-5 years of experience supporting corporate and general aviation aircraft.
- Experience in inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft in accordance with regulations and manufacturers instructions.
- Proficiency in maintenance documentation, communication, and writing skills.
- A&P License is required; Airframe License is a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of maintenance software such as Quantum, Corridor, and/or SAP.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance requirements and inspection procedures and practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Work Environment
The work schedule includes a 7-day week with a 4/10 shift from Monday to Thursday (6:30 am to 5:30 pm) and a 3/36 shift on weekends (Friday to Sunday, 7 am to 7 pm). Candidates need to be shift flexible and will work in teams of 5-10 people. Tools will be provided. The working environment is collaborative and dynamic, promoting teamwork and efficiency.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
