Position OverviewJob Title: A&P Mechanic
Job Type: Full-Time; Consultant (12 Months)
Location: Piney Flats, TN
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x10 First Shift)
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
What Youll DoAs an A&P Mechanic, you will perform a variety of maintenance and inspection activities to ensure aircraft meet strict safety and performance standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform inspections and maintenance, including removal and repair of airframe and engine components
Conduct basic sheet metal repairs and structural work
Complete major inspections and complex repair activities
Remove, inspect, and install drive train components
Assist with post-maintenance flight tests to verify aircraft readiness
Safely operate basic hand tools and airframe-specific tools
Read and interpret installation instructions, maintenance manuals, and engineering drawings
Accurately document work performed in work order systems
Collaborate with team members to complete aircraft maintenance on aggressive schedules
Demonstrate safe work practices and consistently wear required PPE
Continuously learn and apply technical knowledge to support aircraft maintenance operations
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required QualificationsFAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification (FAA DOT position)
Minimum 4 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience
Rotorcraft maintenance experience required
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, instructions, and technical drawings
Must own required aircraft maintenance tools
Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working with Bell rotorcraft
Experience supporting post-maintenance flight testing
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in rotorcraft systems
Physical RequirementsThis role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a maintenance environment, including:
Lifting objects up to 25 lbs independently and 50 lbs with team assistance
Prolonged kneeling, squatting, crawling, and climbing ladders or work stands
Standing for extended periods during the shift
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch while working on aircraft components
Good vision to identify small defects and work with detailed parts

Pay Details: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour
