Job Title: Aircraft Repair Technician
Job Description
Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of corporate aircraft in compliance with specific manufacturers and FAA guidelines and regulations. Troubleshoot aircraft malfunctions on basic aircraft systems. Repair aircraft to ensure they are airworthy and meet all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with crew leader on job progression at regular intervals.
- Troubleshoot and obtain technical information pertaining to aircraft.
- Complete sign-out form when taking parts from stock.
- Prepare documentation, repair and maintenance records, and other required paperwork.
- Return tools and equipment to their appropriate storage locations.
- Clean and maintain work area to ensure safety and professionalism.
- Perform specific assigned shop duties.
- May complete and sign off aircraft prep form as authorized.
- Maintain work schedules of aircraft to meet customers flight schedules.
- Assure the timely and efficient completion of work.
- Complete discrepancy items for work not yet complete.
- Maintain a file of information required to work effectively on the aircraft.
- Prepare kit installations.
- Secure aircraft with cowlings and ensure that aircraft doors are locked at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills
- A&P license
- 3+ years of experience supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on King Air aircraft
- Troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints
- Mechanical and repair skills
- Experience with corporate maintenance on King Air
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must have own tools
- Experience with ground support equipment
- Experience with inspections
Work Environment
Hangar environment with operational hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime is offered.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Augustine, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
