Position SummaryOur client is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to support heavy maintenance, modification, and flight readiness activities on large commercial aircraft. This role involves performing complex inspections, system troubleshooting, Service Bulletin incorporation, and functional testing to ensure aircraft meet regulatory, customer, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of aircraft systems, high attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved technical data, maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and regulatory requirements
Install and incorporate Service Bulletins, engineering orders, and customer-driven modifications on mechanical and aircraft systems
Conduct detailed system troubleshooting and fault isolation across multiple aircraft systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, environmental, flight control, and landing gear systems
Perform operational and functional checks following maintenance actions to ensure aircraft systems operate correctly and safely
Support flight readiness activities by preparing aircraft for ground tests, functional checks, and return-to-service requirements
Perform software loading and system configuration tasks in accordance with approved procedures and documentation
Accurately complete maintenance documentation, task cards, logbook entries, and corrective action records
Work collaboratively with quality, engineering, inspection, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and maintenance findings
Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free work environment in compliance with safety and quality standards
Comply with all company policies, FAA regulations, and safety requirements at all times
Required QualificationsValid FAA A&P Certification (required)
Minimum 7+ years of experience performing maintenance on large commercial aircraft
Strong working knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and overall aircraft architecture
Demonstrated experience performing system troubleshooting and functional testing
Ability to read, interpret, and work from maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation
Familiarity with flight deck operations and aircraft systems interaction
Experience working in a heavy maintenance, modification, or MRO environment
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting aircraft undergoing major modifications, heavy checks, or return-to-service projects
Exposure to avionics, structures, or aircraft interior maintenance
Prior experience with software loading, system updates, or aircraft configuration changes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a production environment
Work EnvironmentHeavy maintenance and modification facility
Standing, bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces may be required
Ability to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by program needs
