**This position is located in Hartford, CT**
Job Description:
- Candidates will complete 4 weeks of classroom work on-site in Hartford, CT before heading to Wichita, KS for 2 weeks of testing to obtain the A&P License – all travel to Wichita is paid for by the company
- After the 6-week program is complete, they will start work as an A&P Mechanic in Hartford, CT for one of the world’s largest aviation companies
- Perform maintenance, repair, and testing of systems and components on corporate aircraft
- Perform troubleshooting and functional testing of airframe and powerplant components both in the hangar and on the flightline
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- Must be able to relocate to Hartford, CT
- Must have 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Tools are required after 6-week program
Pay:
- During the 6-week program: $30/hr
- After licensed, pay is increased based off years of experience:
- 3-5 years: $33 - $36/hr
- 6-9 years: $37 - $39/hr
- 10+ years: $40 - $41/hr
- There is a $150/wk bonus while on contract
- Sign-on Bonus: $2500 - $5000, which you get once you go direct with the company (around the 4-month mark)
Work Schedule:
- The 6-week program will be 1st shift
- Once you complete the program, you must be flexible on shift – the company operates various shifts throughout the week
- It’s likely that you will be placed on an off shift (2nd or 3rd) to start
Terms of Placement:
- 4-month Contract to Hire, meaning you’ll contract with Aerotek for around 4 months and then go direct with the company
- There is a 2-year commitment to the company for this program, meaning if you were to leave before the 2-year mark, you may have to pay up to $5,000 back to the company as reimbursement for them paying for your A&P License
