Physical Requirements:
- Able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature extremes and other elements related to the production shop environment.
- Able to work overtime, if required.
- Work in confined space
- Able to work in all types of weather elements, for example heat and cold temperatures.
- Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in station repair duties.
- Must comply with repair stations drug-free workplace policy.
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of an FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician program or a sheet metal mechanic program or equivalent military experience is preferred.
- A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is preferred.
- Read, Write, and Speak English.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft structural repair is required, with specific experience on a CRJ being a strong asset and preferred.
Soft Skills/ADDITIONAL:
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Have a valid Driver’s License, and reliable transportation.
- Must have basic structural tools
- Applicants will be subject to drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
Physical Demands:
- Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing and reaching above shoulder level.
- Requires occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50lbs unassisted.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
