Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our MRO team specializing in the structural maintenance and repair of aircraft. This role involves inspecting, fabricating, and installing sheet metal components on various aircraft platforms, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft using approved sheet metal techniques
- Fabricate and fit components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and aircraft maintenance manuals
- Conduct inspections for damage, corrosion, and fatigue in aircraft structures
- Ensure all work meets FAA, OEM, and company standards
- Document maintenance actions accurately and thoroughly in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and quality assurance personnel to resolve technical issues
Minimum Requirements:
- A&P certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience in aircraft sheet metal work (commercial, business, or military aviation)
- Business Jet experience
- Proficiency in riveting, drilling, bending, and forming sheet metal components
- Familiarity with aircraft platforms such as Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault, or Embraer is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and maintenance documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
