Sky Aircraft Maintenance (SAM) is seeking a Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) with extensive Raytheon and Cessna experience to support our growing MRO. Based at Lexington North Carolina Davidson County Airport EXX. You will play a key role in maximizing efficiencies, safety, and performance across all platforms.
In addition to maintaining various airframes, you’ll serve as a mentoring teammate, and fostering a collaborative, safety-focused culture.
The Mission for this Position:
Your mission is to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and document maintenance and alterations in accordance with 14 CFR regulations, manufacturer guidance, and Sky Aircraft maintenance (SAM) Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM).
You’ll bring hands-on experience to a wide range of aircraft models that include Hawker Beechcraft 400A/XP; 800XP, King Air Series, Citations, Phenom 300. Your knowledge and leadership will ensure aircraft airworthiness while elevating our team’s collective proficiency.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Aircraft Maintenance: Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across turbine and turboprop aircraft.
- Troubleshoot Systems: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and avionics discrepancies using sound judgment and technical expertise with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Perform all maintenance in accordance with 14 CFR regulations and Sky Aircraft Maintenance RSQCM standards.
- Leverage Digital Tools: Accurately input and manage data using maintenance tracking systems and scheduling software
- Maintain Accurate Documentation: Record all maintenance activities in compliance with FAA and internal documentation requirements
- Collaborate Across Departments: Coordinate with multiple teams and departments to optimize aircraft readiness and turnaround time
- Deliver Exceptional Service: Uphold SAM standard by ensuring high-touch service while maintaining strict compliance and safety
Job Requirements:
Education & Licenses:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred, but not required
- Raytheon & Cessna/Citation factory training preferred
Maintenance Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience maintaining turbine and turboprop aircraft, as well as substantial hands-on Raytheon & Cessna Citation maintenance experience required.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of 14 CFR Part 145 regulations and aviation safety standards
Teamwork:
- Proven ability to manage priorities in a high-urgency environment while working both independently and collaboratively under pressure
Digital Systems Proficiency:
- Experienced with maintenance tracking programs (e.g., Traxxall, Ebis) and skilled in using digital platforms for documentation and compliance
