The A&P Mechanic will perform heavy commercial maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs in accordance with FAA regulations and approved technical data. Youll work closely with leads, structures techs, inspectors, and other team members to execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on narrow-body and wide-body aircraft.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform heavy checks, structural inspections, system repairs, and component replacements
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical discrepancies; document all findings and corrective actions
Remove, replace, rig, and adjust components and flight controls in accordance with AMM/SRM standards
Perform modifications, repairs, and service bulletins as assigned
Interpret and follow AMMs, SRMs, IPCs, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and job cards
Complete all required paperwork, digital sign-offs, and logbook entries accurately
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area
Collaborate effectively with supervisors and fellow mechanics to ensure aircraft meet project timelines
Requirements Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P) &x2014; Required
Must have 3-5 years of heavy commercial aircraft maintenance experience
Wide-body experience strongly preferred (B767, B777, A330, A340, B747, etc.)
Hands-on experience performing C-checks, D-checks, and major inspections
Strong understanding of AMMs, IPCs, SRMs, and other technical documentation
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and variable shifts as needed
Must provide personal hand tools suitable for commercial aircraft maintenance
Must pass standard pre-employment screenings (drug, background, employment verification)
Miscellaneous Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a high-volume MRO environment Comfort working around structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, and powerplant systems Familiarity with digital maintenance systems such as Trax, Ramco, or comparable platforms High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
