Job Description
This role supports critical medevac operations by performing line maintenance on AS350 and other rotary-wing aircraft based in Phenix City, AL. You will use your A&P expertise to ensure aircraft are safe, reliable, and mission-ready, working a rotating schedule that offers extended blocks of time off.
Responsibilities
- Perform line maintenance on AS350 and other rotary-wing aircraft in support of medevac operations.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct routine and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals and procedures.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform corrective actions to return aircraft to service safely and efficiently.
- Document all maintenance actions accurately and completely in maintenance records and logs.
- Collaborate with pilots and operations personnel to identify discrepancies and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Support maintenance activities on a variety of platforms, including AW139 (or MH-139), Bell, UH-72, AH-64, UH-60, and other rotary-wing aircraft as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working in and around the hangar and aircraft.
- Participate in training, including GEN FAM school, to stay current on aircraft platforms and maintenance practices.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient hangar work area.
Essential Skills
- Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Rotary-wing aircraft maintenance experience (MUST have rotary wing experience).
- Line maintenance experience on aircraft, preferably AS350 or similar platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot aircraft systems and perform corrective maintenance.
- Familiarity with aircraft maintenance procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred (less experience considered).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with AW139, MH-139, or other AgustaWestland platforms strongly preferred.
- Experience with Bell helicopter platforms (such as Bell 206, Bell 407) strongly preferred.
- Experience with additional rotary-wing platforms such as UH-72, AH-64, UH-60 is beneficial.
- Previous medevac or mission-critical aviation maintenance experience is a plus.
- Willingness to attend and complete GEN FAM school provided by the employer.

Work Environment
You will work in a hospital-based hangar environment dedicated to medevac operations. The schedule is rotational and depends on your preference, with options such as 5 days on and 2 days off or 7 days on and 7 days off, providing predictable and extended off-duty periods. You will work around AS350 and other rotary-wing aircraft, using standard aviation maintenance tools and equipment in a hangar setting that emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phenix City, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
