Job Title: A&P MechanicJob DescriptionThe role involves identifying and correcting malfunctioning jet, turboprop, and reciprocating multi-engine aircraft mechanical components and systems. The position requires performing 100-hour, annual, and progressive inspections, along with modification work on customer aircraft.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and mechanical duties on various aircraft models, including disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of aircraft systems.
- Check, correct, or replace complex aircraft assemblies, landing gear systems, air conditioning systems, pressurization systems, turbocharges, and optional equipment installations.
- Repair or replace engine components and accessory items such as carburetors, fuel control units, fuel injection systems, air bleed systems, oil and fuel pumps, starter/generators, and hydraulic and vacuum pumps.
- Conduct functional checks, engine test runs, instrument tests, alignment, and preventive maintenance.
- Observe operation of mechanical systems during flight and troubleshoot problems for in-shop repairs.
- Ensure written reports in logs, inspection reports, and parts identification for issue and return documents are clear, concise, and accurate.
- Guide and instruct lower classification helpers 50 or more of the time.
Essential Skills- Minimum of 5 years of experience with King Air, Hawker, Beechcraft, and/or Cessna corporate aircraft.
- FAA A&P certificate.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport ID badge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Hawker Beechcraft or Cessna Citation is preferred.
- 10 years of experience will be prioritized.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes a structured schedule from 07:30am to 4:00pm, with designated breaks. The team consists of 5-10 employees under the supervision of a lead A&P technician. The facility is located at Tampa International Airport, featuring six bays and 24-30 aircraft in progress at any given time. The dress code includes working type pants, shirts, slip-resistant shoes, safety glasses, and ballcap hats under aircraft footprints.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
