Kay and Associates is a prime contractor for NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards AFB, CA. We are seeking an AGE/GSE worker. Kay and Associates provides maintenance and repair for over 1100 items of ground support equipment and vehicles.
Job Description:
Perform entry level preventative maintenance, tire repair, unit replacement, and non-powered AGE maintenance. With training individual shall accomplish special assignments such as ramp sweeping, parts runs, equipment run-ups, fueling, equipment deliveries, shop clean up and other duties as assigned. Equipment operation training will be provided.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess a current valid state driver’s license. Experience in AGE/GSE maintenance or equivalent is required. Military experience is desired.
Techs must provide their own hand tools. A minimum tool list will be provided. Tool etching and box shadowing can be accomplished during work hours and is mandated by both NASA and EAFB airfield management.
Assignments involve manipulative skills in using hand tools. Incumbent is required to physically move about the area of assignment which involves climbing, stopping, and standing for long periods. Dexterity, correctable vision, and correctable hearing are definite assets in performing his/her assignments.
Work assignments vary in physical size and weight from grams to several thousand pounds. There are various lifting devices and manpower to assist in large tasks so that incumbent will have to lift no more than 40/50 lbs.
