Job Description:

AH-64 Structural and Sheet Metal Mechanic

Join a team where your aircraft structural and sheet metal experience directly supports the AH-64 Apache helicopter. This opportunity supports depot level aviation maintenance and modification work on AH-64 aircraft supporting active military programs. Candidates with prior AH-64 experience are strongly preferred, though structural mechanics with other military helicopter backgrounds like the UH-60 Blackhawk may also be considered.

This role requires travel between Alabama, Fort Hood Texas, and Fort Drum New York. Candidates must be open to traveling to support program requirements.

What You Will Do

· Install, repair, and modify AH-64 aircraft structural components in accordance with engineering drawings and technical data

· Perform sheet metal fabrication, modification, and installation on helicopter structures

· Complete structural repairs and aircraft modifications in a depot level maintenance environment

· Remove and replace damaged structural components, fasteners, and sheet metal assemblies

· Interpret engineering blueprints, structural repair manuals, and maintenance documentation to determine repair methods

· Use structural and sheet metal tools including drilling, riveting, fitting, and trimming equipment

· Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards throughout all maintenance activities

 

 

Job Requirements:

What We Are Looking For

· 8+ years of aircraft structural or sheet metal mechanic experience within defense or aerospace programs

· Experience installing and maintaining structural components

· AH-64 Apache experience strongly preferred

· Rotary wing experience including UH-60, AH-64, or other military helicopters highly valued

· Background in sheet metal fabrication and structural modifications

· Depot level aircraft maintenance experience strongly preferred

· Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one

· Reliable, detail-oriented mechanics who work well in structured aviation environments
