Position OverviewOur client is seeking a skilled and experienced Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME – S License) with hands-on experience working on Dash 8 / Q400 aircraft. The successful candidate will perform inspection, repair, modification, and structural maintenance in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and company procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural repairs and maintenance on Q400 aircraft to OEM standards and regulatory requirements
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled heavy and line maintenance
Troubleshoot structural defects and perform necessary rectification
Interpret and work from structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, and service bulletins
Complete defect reports, documentation, and log entries accurately
Remove, repair, and reinstall skin panels, composite materials, doublers, and fittings
Collaborate with other maintenance teams (mechanical, avionics, planning & engineering)
Ensure all work meets quality control and safety standards
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
Comply with all Transport Canada and company policies and procedures
Qualifications & ExperienceValid AME S License (Transport Canada approved)
Minimum 2+ years structural experience; Q400 hands-on experience required
Demonstrated experience with repair schemes, fabrication, composites (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, SRM, and engineering orders
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Must supply own basic tool kit; specialty tools provided
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Ability to work shift schedules, weekends, and overtime as required
Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience on other De Havilland platforms (Dash 8 Classics, CL series)
Previous MRO or fleet operator experience
Familiarity with AMOS, Corridor, or other maintenance tracking systems
