Keep Mission-Critical Aircraft Flying: Aerospace Repair & Modification Technician OpportunityRole OverviewPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Aerospace Products Repair/Modification Technician to support a leader in the aviation industry in Jacksonville, NC.
In this 12-month, full-time consulting role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining and enhancing advanced aircraft systems—ensuring mission readiness, safety, and peak performance. Your hands-on expertise will directly impact the reliability and flight-worthiness of complex aerospace platforms, including the MV-22 Osprey.
This is a first-shift opportunity (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM) with competitive pay Starting at $36.60 per hour.
What You’ll DoAs an Aerospace Repair/Modification Technician, you’ll take ownership of complex maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting tasks across advanced aircraft systems.
Your responsibilities include:
Assembling, disassembling, modifying, and repairing aerospace components and systems
Supporting MV-22 maintenance and modification programs, including avionics, electrical, and airframe systems
Troubleshooting complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify and resolve faults
Performing functional, diagnostic, validation, and verification testing using specialized equipment
Removing and replacing components to restore serviceability and support system upgrades
Coordinating and overseeing assembly, disassembly, and overhaul activities for accuracy and completeness
Documenting repairs, test results, inspections, and modifications to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance
Inspecting components for cleanliness, serviceability, and flight-worthiness standards
Identifying discrepancies and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve issues
Supporting training efforts and maintaining adherence to FOD control, tool control, and safety procedures
What We’re Looking ForRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of aerospace maintenance or related experience
Hands-on experience with V-22 (MV-22) maintenance, modification, and repair
Specialized experience as a Structures Mechanic or Electrical/Avionics Technician (not general mechanics)
Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices, including safety, FOD control, and tool accountability
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems with minimal supervision
Preferred QualificationsFAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
Quality Assurance experience in aerospace environments
Extensive depot-level modification experience
Experience working in highly regulated aviation or defense programs

Pay Details: $36.60 per hour
