Boeing Netherlands BV is looking for Aerospace Sheet Metal Technician to join the team at the LCW location (Logistic Center Woensdrecht, Hoogerheide at the Royal Netherlands Airforce) for the Boeing maintenance services contract.

Boeing Maintenance Services is a MAR-145 accredited organization to provide Flexible Capacity to support the LCW in the phase maintenance inspections of Apache and Chinook helicopters.  

Responsibilities:

  • Rework, install and fabricate complex aircraft structural assemblies
  • Use of precision measuring devices. i.e.; micrometre, ball gauges, dial callipers, scales and all other calibrated devices using safety guidelines
  • Preform visual and functional inspection of operations to ensure product meets all requirements and specifications
  • Performs aircraft corrosion inspections and structural repair tasks in line with the aircraft repair data provided
  • Maintains, modifies and installs the various components of aircraft sheet metal and composite
  • Ensure relevant repair documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Promote a Just Culture, adhere to company Health & Safety policies, and report all incidents and occurrences through the Company Safety Management System
  • Provide detailed documentation of the work carried out on aircraft
  • Ensure all calibrated equipment and tooling is correctly stored, calibrated, labelled and recorded

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

  • Has the ability to fabricates, assembles, modifies, and repairs the metal parts of an aircraft;
  • Has the ability to lay out plans based on the engineers blueprints, then assemble and install components to the aircraft;
  • Basic knowledge of EASA and HSE (ARBO) legislation;
  • Basic IT knowledge and preferably basic SAP user;
  • Ability to work under own initiative making recommendations for improvements as appropriate;
  • Have the right to work in Europe without restriction;
  • Ability to obtain Security investigation (level B) from the Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD) Netherlands BIV
  • Be highly motivated, a great team player with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Fluent knowledge of English and Dutch is required for this position.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience on composite repairs is a plus.
  • Experience in the inspections, and repairs on the AH-64 and / CH-47 Type ACFT is a plus.
  • Experience in a military environment is a plus

Education and Experience:

Relevant working experience. Requirements include 5 years related work experience with completion of a Civil Aviation Apprenticeship, Armed Forces Aircraft training or Basic Engineering Apprenticeship.

Relocation: This position does NOT offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
