We are currently seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector III to support aircraft maintenance operations for military and government programs. This safety-sensitive role requires deep technical knowledge, hands-on inspection skills, and strong familiarity with FAA regulations and procedures. You'll play a critical role in ensuring airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness of specialized aircraft platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process and final inspections on aircraft systems, structures, and components
- Determine airworthiness and conformance to FAA specifications and manufacturer data
- Approve return to service on minor work (non-337)
- Identify discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are completed per regulations
- Accurately complete all required inspection documentation and logbook entries
- Interface with technicians, quality assurance, and program leadership
- Maintain strict compliance with FAA, OSHA, and internal safety protocols
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Active, current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification
- Minimum 5 years of FAA-regulated aircraft inspection or maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of FAA Part 43, Part 145, and related maintenance/inspection procedures
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, tech manuals, and maintenance records
- Experience with aircraft structure, systems, and component-level inspection
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- High school diploma or GED (a higher degree may substitute for experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Inspection Authorization (IA) designation
- Experience in FAA Repair Station or Part 121/135 maintenance environments
- Background in the Aerospace & Defense, DoD, or U.S. Military aviation
- Understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs/ladders, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

- Ability to distinguish colors, depths, and sounds in a maintenance environment with or without reasonable accommodation
- Frequent exposure to outdoor elements, fumes, and loud equipment
