We are seeking a highly experienced Aircraft Inspector IV to support specialized aircraft programs within the government and defense aviation sector. In this senior-level inspection role, you will leverage your extensive technical knowledge and FAA expertise to oversee aircraft airworthiness, ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, and approve aircraft for return to service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and document all in-process and final inspections of aircraft systems, components, and structural modifications
- Approve all completed work for return to service, ensuring full compliance with FAA and OEM requirements
- Identify and address any discrepancies or breaches of airworthiness standards
- Interpret technical data, engineering drawings, and manufacturer maintenance manuals
- Support first article inspections and assist with the development of inspection procedures for modified aircraft
- Interface with QA teams, technicians, and program managers to ensure high standards of performance and safety
Required Qualifications:
- Active and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification
- 10+ years of aircraft inspection experience under FAA-regulated maintenance environments
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, parts, and structures
- Proven experience performing product audits and inspections in compliance with FAA Part 43/145 standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High school diploma or GED (a higher degree may substitute for experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Inspection Authorization (IA) designation strongly preferred
- Experience performing first article inspections
- Prior experience inspecting aircraft modifications or supporting special mission programs
- Solid understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1 and FAA Repair Station regulations
- Background with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), military aviation, or the aerospace & defense industry

- Must be able to walk, stand, sit, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather, loud environments, and hazardous materials
