Are you ready to flex your aircraft inspection expertise into a Lead position? This is your opportunity! As an Aircraft Inspector V, you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will be using your skills and expertise to inspect our aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturers specifications and government regulations. Youll be responsible for identifying any breach of standards for airworthiness and your inspection authority will include all in-process inspections, all final inspections, and approval for return to service of all work.

Responsibilities
- Following the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program, fulfill the Quality Assurance Representative responsibilities for the program
- Inspect aircraft maintenance and complete in-process inspections and final signoff of maintenance tasks
- Complete surveillances on all aspects of aircraft maintenance and program management following the established inspection plan
- Conducts Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action development for non conformances
- Ensures aircraft maintenance and safety of flight standards meet FAA and Naval Aviation requirements
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 15 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with Inspection Authority (IA)
- Advanced experience with and knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor and guide subordinates
- Prior experience performing maintenance on the Lockheed P-3 Orion
- Thorough understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1
- Comprehensive understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations
- Prior experience with first article inspections and/or aircraft modifications
- Experience as an FAA Designee for Conformity Inspections
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
