Job Title: Maintenance Controller
Position Overview: Aerotek Aviation is currently hiring Maintenance Controllers for one of our Regional Airlines customers on a contract to hire basis. This position offers ample opportunity for A&P Mechanics looking to move into Maintenance Control or experienced Maintenance Controllers looking for more reliable work. This is a full-time, contract to hire role based out of Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport (KMQY) just south of Nashville.
Job Description
The Maintenance Controller will provide clear and concise information regarding maintenance status, action plans, and return to service estimates. This role involves direct communication with flight crew members to address operational discrepancies and ensure timely and effective repairs. The position requires utilizing maintenance tracking computer systems to plan, schedule, and complete all scheduled maintenance activities, while ensuring compliance with aircraft inspection programs.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with flight crew to obtain necessary information for repairs.
- Utilize maintenance tracking systems for scheduling and logistics.
- Update Computerized Maintenance Tracking Program with compliance information.
- Maintain real-time updates in Flight Operations Software (FOS) for fleet maintenance status.
- Ensure mechanical delays are handled safely and expediently in line with the General Maintenance Manual.
- Coordinate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Purchasing to expedite aircraft return to service.
- Track and control deferred maintenance items and ensure parts are ordered as needed.
- Authorize deferred maintenance items (DMI), ensuring compliance with company manuals and FARs.
- Complete and distribute forms and documents according to General Maintenance Manual procedures.
- Track parts and equipment in transit to aircraft on ground (AOG).
- Act as a point of contact for maintenance performed away from the main base.
- Perform maintenance planning and track scheduled maintenance workload.
- Obtain approvals and complete Ferry Flight Authorization Forms.
- Coordinate both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of A&P Mechanic expereince or any form of maintenance control experience on any commercial airframe (Boeing, Airbus, CRJ, ERJ).
- FAA A&P License Required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $40.86/hr.
