Job Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is a highly skilled, licensed professional responsible for maintaining aircraft safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance Operations, the AME performs a range of tasks, including servicing, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, fabrications, installations, and conducting functional tests on electrical systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and modification tasks as assigned to maintain company aircraft.
• Utilize documentation such as AMM, SRM, IPC, SBs, and SLs.
• Provide support for aircraft discrepancy rectification at our bases.
• Report all unserviceable or unsafe conditions and equipment to the supervisor.
• Compile and assist in reporting Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs).
• Participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
• Ensure all tooling is current and serviceable, and documentation is up to date.
• Ensure parts used for maintenance have appropriate paperwork/trace.
• Maintain good housekeeping of company facilities and equipment, reporting any deficiencies.
• Provide training and direction to other technicians and learners.
• Communicate and liaise with maintenance control regarding aircraft deferrals and status.
• Maintain AME M2 license and comply with all training requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Work Environment

The position operates on a 5-5-4 shift schedule at the Chartright hangar in Waterloo Wellington Airport, with straight night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Breslau, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
