The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations and providing leadership to assigned personnel. This role includes recommending actions related to hiring, scheduling, discipline, employee development, coaching, mentoring, and termination. The Supervisor ensures a safe working environment, manages labor and material costs, and ensures that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable FAA regulations.
The Supervisor provides direct technical support and coordinates with other departments to maximize productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to maintenance personnel.
- Recommend actions related to hiring, scheduling, performance management, and corrective action.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving across mechanical, structural, and avionics systems.
- Plan and organize workforce assignments and maintenance workload.
- Ensure projects are completed within scheduled time and budget constraints.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, including CFR Part 145 repair station requirements.
- Collaborate with other internal departments to streamline operations and improve workflow.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency enhancements.
