In this role, you will maintain the proper and safe functioning of Delta’s fleet, ensuring customers have an exceptional travel experience. AMTs maintain aircraft, aircraft engines, and aircraft components and avionics systems according to Delta and FAA specifications; perform inspections during assembly of parts and after repair or installation of components; document maintenance procedures including component damage, origin, and condition; and practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Implement and adhere to strict safety guidelinesPromote safety within the workplace by monitoring yourself and others to ensure all tasks are performed according to safety manual guidelines and communicate with other mechanics and supervisors to coordinate repairs and stay aware of safety concernsEnsure 100 compliance with US FAA directives, Delta Air Lines Company policies and Safety StandardsUse hand tools, diagnostic tests, and gauges to identify hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical malfunctionRead and utilize maintenance manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins, and other maintenance documents to troubleshoot and complete work assignmentsPerform routine maintenance operations, such as the replacement of power plant and aircraft componentsComplete all tasks within the allotted time frame and to Delta Air Lines’ quality standardsWork as a team with other AMTs, Supervisors, and other departmentsCoordinate and plan daily workload requirementsCommunicate effectively with other maintenance staff to ensure smooth maintenance operationsReport to Maintenance Supervisors on the progress of aircraft maintenance workPerform adequate inspection of parts, components, or assembliesConduct a visual check of the area for completeness of work, obvious defects, safety of components, cleanliness, and removal of equipment, tools, and debrisDocument work performed, including the status of “work in progress” at the end of each shiftSign for Return to Service or Airworthiness Release as specified in applicable manualsPerform necessary computer functions and provide documentation to ensure maintenance records, parts tracking, and costs are accurately recordedAdhere to all Company appearance and conduct standardsMaintain a clean, organized workplace and care for facilitiesPerform repairs on GSE equipment when necessaryBe open to performing secondary operational tasks (e.g., housekeeping, stores organization, tooling organization, facilities daily inspections)

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) maintenance license2-5 years of experience in aircraft maintenanceMust have current authorization to work and live in Brazil at the time of your application. Delta does not sponsor for this role.Command of written/spoken English at a level to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals; fluency in the local language is requiredShould possess the basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systemsBasic knowledge of Microsoft OfficePhysical ability to perform all maintenance duties without limitationsFlexibility to work different shiftsDemonstrated problem-solving abilityHolding a valid local driving license (Category D preferred)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent analytical and organizational skillsOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsMust hold a valid US visa (e.g., B1/B2) and be prepared to travel to international destinations when requiredConsistently makes safety and security of self and others a priorityEmbraces a diverse set of people, thinking, and stylesHigh School graduate, GED, or High School Equivalency.
