Job Description:
Amentum is seeking - Aircraft Mechanic I UH-60 Mechanic/ Electrician Specialty adjusts, repairs and/or replaces electrical wiring and
aircraft system avionics. Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
Performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions.
Apply required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation.
Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers’ manuals.
Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily,
may service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, may specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and may specialize in engine repair.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

U.S. Military technical school or specialized training course is desired.

Valid up-to-date A&P license.

If no A&P license, shall have three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned UH60 Mission Design Series (MDS).

All experience must be within the six most recent years.

MDS experience may be waived by a COR if the mechanic is undergoing or completed the Contractor’s Government approved On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.

Must provide your own Tools.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (NAC-I T1)

Must be a US Citizen
