The Aircraft Mechanic I performs maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems and components to ensure safe and reliable operations in support of assigned missions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace aircraft structural, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
• Maintain, service, and adjust powerplants, landing gear, flight controls, and associated systems.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance bulletins, and engineering data.
• Conduct pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections.
• Document maintenance actions and ensure compliance with all technical orders and safety standards.
• Operate hand and power tools, hoists, and test equipment safely and accurately.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or military aviation training preferred.
• 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience on military or commercial aircraft.
• Knowledge of FAA, military, or OEM maintenance standards.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary clearances or certifications as required by the contract.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License preferred but not required.
